We’re thrilled to announce that East-West Seed has won the Renewable Energy Adoption Award at the ESGBusiness Award 2023 for our commitment to sustainability.

Since 2019, we’ve deployed 2.1 megawatts of solar power across our seed processing facilities in six countries, with rooftop units generating 2.2 million kilowatt-hours in 2022. This has reduced our grid power dependency by 53% and even made our Vietnam plant solely reliant on solar power, with excess energy fed back to the grid. Additionally, our farm irrigation in Guatemala is now powered by 100% solar energy.

This strategic global approach not only showcases our dedication to sustainability but also underscores our commitment to clean energy.
