We recently hosted a “Learning Farm” event in Phetchaburi, turning our trial fields into a natural classroom to dive deep into growing techniques for yard long beans and cucumbers. Our General Manager, Mr. Maarten, gave a very warm welcome to the over 100 farmers who joined us. 🥒🪴

The event featured 3 practical learning stations packed with actionable knowledge:

• 🧬 Station 1: High-Quality Varieties & Yield Maximization – Insights into customized fertilizer application, optimal plant spacing, and the correct number of plants per hole.
• 🛡️ Station 2: Integrated Pest Management (IPM) – Demonstrating the use of “Spunbond” covers to protect against insects. This reduces insect-borne plant diseases by up to 50%, saving on chemical costs and boosting farmers’ income. 💰
• 🔬 Station 3: Seed Innovation & Disease Management – Equipping farmers with the latest knowledge to effectively prevent and manage plant diseases. 💡

We also showcased our live demonstration fields so farmers could see the high-quality results firsthand. By sharing this knowledge, we aim to build confidence and empower farmers to grow their businesses and improve their livelihoods alongside East-West Seed. 💯✨
