21 September 2021

Leading vegetable seed company, East-West Seed, has been ranked #2 out of 32 seed companies in the latest regional Access to Seeds Index (ATSI) for Western and Central Africa (WCA).

This is the second WCA Index released by ATSI and in the previous Index in 2019, East-West Seed ranked at #3 out of 23 companies.

In the measurement areas evaluated to arrive at the overall ranking, ATSI placed East-West Seed top of all 32 companies in two areas; governance and strategy, and research and development. ATSI also said East-West Seed’s strengths in sales and marketing and capacity building supported the company’s strong performance in this year’s index.

‘Serving smallholder farmers at the heart of what we do’
